Fungal diseases and the box moth are the most common and demand a vigorous approach, but can be treated perfectly. Other pests which are less threatening to the plant usually only need to be treated once or not at all.


Box tree caterpiller

The caterpillars which feed on the leaves are bright green with a black head. This Asian butterfly can grow as big as 4 cm. There are two generations in Belgium : April/May and August.

Boxwood Blight

The investation starts with black spots on the leaf. A few days later the affected leaves will fall down en masse and black stripes appear on the young twigs.
